CPM Mistake and next steps by KHRA 7 January
2009
Following communications with CPM, our asset
management company, and the directors of Kennett Heath Management
Limited, they are unable to make our proposed meeting of 10
January 2009. We are currently waiting on an alternative meeting
date and time from them.
We have asked that this meeting take place prior to the payment
deadline of 21 January 2009 set out in the first invoice in
December or an acknowledgement that this date is no longer
applicable in light of the fact that no further invoice has
been received from them - only a statement of account.
We have asked that this matter be addressed as a matter of
urgency so that we can advise people on the estate on the
applicable and implications if payment is not forthcoming
by this date.
CPM property manager, Nicolas Rich, and the regional CPM manager,
Gavin Betty, have also been asked for full details in connection
with the statement of account, letter of apology for their
mistake as well as the service charge budget especially their
management fee which is still showing a massive increase to
more than £26,000 compared to the previous year's £7,500.
Copies of the email requesting information from them have
also been sent to the directors of Kennett Heath Management
Limited.
Following the publicity received in December, KHRA has now
made contact with other developments across the country who
are experiencing similar problems and will be working with
them in the UK Land Management Action Group. We will be able
to obtain expertise advise from them in addition to being
able to leverage from our combined activities to working on
formal change for new housing developments in the UK.
So next steps:
We will keep you informed on developments associated with
the meeting CPM and the directors of Kennet Heath Management
Limited.

How you can help: If you have any questions related to statements,
invoices, letters received from CPM, write them an email at:

We are aware that many of you have already done this but this
will help continue the pressure on them and actively show
that we are not happy with their current activities.
Residents Anger at increased Management Company Charges
12 December 2008
Kennet Heath residents were yesterday faced with an invoice for inflated charges from Residential Management Group (RMG), which is taking instructions from the developers on the estate – Redrow and David Wilson.
Kennet Heath Residents Association (KHRA) Chairman, Bob Morgan said: “We will again draw the developers actions to the attention of our member of parliament, Richard Benyon, who is working alongside the association to discuss the challenges faced by our estate. In addition, we have a mandate from the residents to call an Emergency General Meeting of Kennett Heath Management Limited, which currently has developers as its directors to explain their actions”.

Kennet
Heath Community - How can you help? 6 October
2008
The last few months have seen some very positive
initiatives for the Kennet Heath Estate. The introduction
of this website and forum has enabled us to start making the
link to our neighbours to become friends, and the formation
of the Kennet Heath residents association has given us a vehicle
to move forward with our plans to build a community and address
some issues that we all face together.
Various social events have already sprung
up you can play Football, real or Fantasy league, you
can take your children and meet other parents for a cup of
tea and a chat, or you could join others for a drink, a Chinese
buffet or a Comedy night out. Suggestions for other social
events will always be welcomed with open arms more...
